Mad Science

We had such a good time today - we met Radical Rhys who showed us some fun Science…..

Grace read Problem Pup a quick story before we went to our workshop

We loved our special glasses -

Aston was mesmerised…..

 Rhys gave us sheets with coloured shapes and torches with different coloured lights

Then Rhys gave us felt pens and filter papers and asked us to draw a pattern. He said we could spray water on them when we went back to class. Something exciting might happen to the colours...

 We used special torch pens to draw patterns…

After all that Science, Alexa sat down with a good book for a little rest and relaxation...

We also found out that some materials let light shine through and some don't

Mad Science presentation

Tomorrow - Tuesday March 17th - we will be watching a fun presentation from MAD SCIENCE about Light and Colour.

We'll be following up in class with lots of fun Science activities this week too.

It's Science week in Acorn class. Look what we've been finding out about already…

Splitting Light Beams - making rainbows from white light.

We used Mr Gardiner's industrial sized torch, Miss Bailey's crystal necklace(prism), the whiteboard and a sheet of white paper. We were amazed to find out that the white light was made up of all the colours of the rainbow!
