Practising scissors skills

Practising using a scissors with your child is always time well spent. Old birthday cards are great for cutting up and there are loads of practice sheets on various websites - www.activityvillage.co.uk/cutting-skills-printables

Can we make a house for a mouse or a hole for a vole?

We collected lots of different materials - twigs, leaves, boxes, fabric etc to makes homes for toy animals. We used describing words such as soft, rough and comfy! We really enjoyed it!

Finding out about animal homes

We talked about different animal homes and then cut out pictures of animals and matched them to their home. We had to cut along the lines and glue the pictures into place. We worked so hard!

That's it Ethan…. pull the blanket over to make a roof…

Wow! Amelia and Aston made a brilliant den under the picnic table…

 Looks a great hiding place…

Playing a game of hide and seek - count to 20 Alexa and try not to peep!!

That's it, Cleo and Lucy - you made a lovely shelter

Clever idea to use the foam bricks to hold the blankets in place…

Is this a den or an adventure playground? Alexa, Isabelle and Oscar worked as a team to help build this...

It's great to see our friends again!
